Simon Duncombe, Founder

Simon has many years of experience in IT and has worked as a founder and C-level executive in several IT / security start-ups. He is a passionate software developer with a focus on security and usability.

Prof. Dr. Marcel Schär Gmelch

Marcel is a lecturer and psychotherapist and has taught at various universities in Switzerland. Since 2012, he has been Head of the Center for Clinical Psychology & Psychotherapy at the ZHAW. Through his work at ephoria, he is committed to ensuring that everyone has a low-barrier access to mental health.

Gregor Waller, MSc

Gregor is the project manager for ephoria at ZHAW. He has a startup background and is co-head of the Media Psychology department at the ZHAW. He and his team study the media use of children and teenagers. Among other things, he is co-project leader of the much-cited JAMES study.

Jan Juchli, MSc

Jan has a Master's degree in Psychology and has been training in clinical psychology at the ZHAW since 2021. He also has a flair for programming and translates his experience into the implementation of our evidence-based dialogs.

Mirjam Jochim

Mirjam is studying Applied Psychology at the ZHAW and has been working as a research assistant in the Media Psychology department since 2023. She was awarded for academic excellence during her studies abroad at Bond University in Australia. Mirjam has a background in performance arts and linguistics, and enjoys working at the intersection of creativity, psychology and language.

Luigi Diamante, Co-Founder

Luigi is a business economist with many years of experience in investment banking. He was responsible for setting up an advisory team in Singapore for a major bank. He has been an independent partner of a financial advisory firm in Zurich since 2018.

Ms. Ruby

Miss Ruby is our Chief Happiness Officer. She is an intelligent female Bearded Collie with an unrestrained urge to play and her own sense of humor. She knows many tricks and likes to give high-fives.
